Over the past few weeks, the local business community around the world has faced increasing and unprecedented challenges.
We are doing what we can to offer solutions to keep things “business as usual” for our HVAC contractors and other service industry clients.
Our thoughts remain with those who are sick and those who are dealing with family or a friend who is sick.
Google has just released a notice to all advertisers recommending that you communicate any changes your business has made due to the Corona Virus. They’re recommending you adjust your messaging to share information about extra precautions you’re taking or if you’re experiencing delays.
For example: Austin Texas has postponed HVAC service calls for preventative maintenance. Since we can’t eliminate these types of leads we are suggesting adding this information to your website and scheduling the service after Easter.
Take advantage and get them on the schedule. This is just one example. Each state is experiencing different restrictions.
These are difficult times, we want to help you navigate these uncharted waters any way we can. As of right now we are recommending the below 4 insights that may help you communicate with your customers and employees:
- Stay Informed. Use tools like google trends and google alerts to keep you updated and to better understand the consumer demands within your local market.
- Stay current. Add a message to your website and social profiles letting your customers know what measures you’ve taken to keep your team and customers safe, new hours of operation and services that may be limited particular to your specific local market.
- Google Ads: Adapt in real time. Due to the changes and fluctuations that are going to occur, you should review your messaging, make changes to your budget, re allocate budget to other services based on consumer demand as well as pause campaigns.
- Stay Connected. Much of your business may be run remotely. Use tools to maintain a strong connection with both your employees and customers. For your customers that could mean online scheduling and Live Chat. For effective internal communication with employees that could mean using tools such as email, Live Chat, google’s shared documents and Zoom video conferencing.
